MORIN, (Giancola) Nancy (1929-2018)
Peacefully after an extended illness at the Villages of Wentworth Heights, Hamilton, on Sunday August 26th 2018. Predeceased by her loving husband, Phil 2006. Loving mother of Diane (late Ross Stringer) of Porcupine, Michael (Terry) of London, Timothy (Lorraine DiCicco) of London, Francine (Bill Wheaton) of Ancaster, Ann Marie (Alan Banting) of Brantford. Cherished grandmother of Paul (Stacey Fisher), Sarah, Meaghan, and Jennifer Stringer, Adam (Cathy Paiva) and Eric Morin, Noah Wheaton, Peter and Erin Banting. Great Grandmother of Takaida and Azlynn Paiva-Morin. Predeceased by her daughter Nancy Ann, parents Frank Giancola and Rose DeRosse and sisters Teresa McWade and Marguerite Hunks. Nancy was a graduate of Saint Joseph’s School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse in Brantford and Sault Ste. Marie. After raising their six children in Timmins, Nancy and Phil retired in Brantford.
The family will receive friends at the “Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel”, 96 West Street, Brantford, on Wednesday August 29th from 6-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 133 Murray Street , Brantford, on Thursday August 30th at 10:30am. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society, Canadian Cancer or to a Charity of your choice would would be appreciated.
