CLANCY, Michael Charles – purchasing/stores clerk at Englehart Hospital, passed away on January 4th, 2018 with his wife, Lorraine Clancy, by his side. The Legend known as Michael Clancy was born in Englehart on June 28th, 1954, where he grew up as a son to Dorothy and John Clancy, and brother to Terry and Mary Catherine. It was in Englehart where he met his soulmate, Lorraine Trudel. Two years later, on the frosty afternoon of December 10th, 1983, Lorraine and Michael got married. Upon moving to Marathon, Ontario, the two expanded their family and had two boys: Sean and Ryan. After seeing the boys off to pursue post-secondary education diplomas, Michael too went back to school at Confederation College and obtained his diploma in Human Resources. Sean resides in Ottawa, and Ryan lives in Winnipeg. With their sons situated, Lorraine and Michael relocated to Kirkland Lake, and they moved into their own slice of peaceful paradise. Michael was an unrelenting fan of the Boston Bruins and loved his favourite player: #4 Bobby Orr. Let it be widely known that Michael Clancy passed away on the 4th and of all ten National Hockey League games scheduled for that day, it was only the Boston Bruins game that got postponed. To say that Michael will be missed is a tremendous understatement. His quick wit, practical jokes, sense of humour and kind heart will be remembered by all. He was a beloved husband to Lorraine, father to Sean and Ryan (Faith); brother to Terry (Dave) and the late Mary Catherine (Angelo); son-in-law to Jacqueline Trudel (Rolland Chouinard); brother-in-law to Rollande (Yvon); Claude (Nancy), Robert, late Roland (Lynne), late Paul; uncle to Shannon (Jody), Megan (Jimmy), Louise (John), Andrew Mitri (Jessica), Michael Mitri, Marc Paris (Dawn), Andre Paris (Joanne), Jeff Trudel, David Trudel, Michael Trudel (Jay), Andrew Trudel (Sandra), Shawn Trudel, Steven Trudel (Sue), Devan MacDonald (Monica), and Ryan MacDonald.
