Michael Andrew Milligan died unexpectedly near Kelowna, British Columbia on January 8, 2018 at the young age of 39.
Mike is survived by his parents, Bob and Susan Milligan; his loving daughter Tasheena Hope Milligan; his brother Robert Milligan; Tasheena’s mother Christine; and Tasheena’s brother Traytin Swite.
Mike was born August 21, 1978 in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. He spent his childhood years in Nova Scotia, grew up and had a love for playing sports and enjoying the outdoors.… Read More » In 1997, Mike took up the trade as a long-haul truck driver. Mike’s travels eventually landed him in Kelowna, where in May of 2010 his daughter, the love of his life, Tasheena Hope was born. Mike took up a local fuel delivery job to fulfill what he would say was the best years of his life, being the father to a beautiful daughter.
Mike will be remembered for his blunt honesty. He will be remembered as a man who would drop whatever he was doing to help others. He will be remembered as a man who wore his heart on his sleeve. Most of all, Michael will be remembered as the supporting and loving father he grew to be.
A memorial celebration of life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 19, 2018 in the chapel of Everden Rust Funeral Services, 1910 Windsor Road, Kelowna, BC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, #4 – 1551 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, BC (www.heartandstroke.ca).
