Meleme Vautour
1952-2018
SOUTH BRANCH, NB – Meleme Vautour, 66,
of South Branch passed away in Mundleville on Tuesday, October
2nd, 2018. Born in Cap-Saint-Louis, he was the
son of the late Jean and Regina (Daigle) Vautour. Meleme worked for
Rockwood Transportation for over 30 years as a heavy equipment
mechanic. He served in the military in the Royal 22nd
Regiment (Van Doos), Val Cartier, QC.
Meleme will be sadly missed by his
wife, Bibianne Robichaud-Vautour; his step-daughter, Cheryl Lee
Cormier of Toronto, ON; two step-sons, Gilles Robichaud (Gisele) of
Aldouane and Marc-Andre Robichaud of Saint-Louis; his step-grandson,
Damien Fagan; two sisters, Noella Vautour of Moncton and Rejeanne
Holowachuk (Randy) of Victoria, BC; two brothers, Paul (Claudette) of
Bouctouche and Raymond (Jeanne) of Saint-Louis; two half-brothers,
Chester Elward (Eleonore) of Aldouane and Robert Elward of Alberta; as
well as by his several nieces, nephews, cousins, coworkers and
friends.
Besides his parents, Meleme was
predeceased by his common-law spouse, Anne Cormier; his sister,
Marie-Paule; and his brother,
Jeannot.
Visitation will be held at
Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto on Thursday, October
11th, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9pm and Friday,
October 12th, 2018 from 2:00pm until departure
for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October
12th, 2018 at 4:00pm, Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague
Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Donations in Meleme’s
memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer
Society.
