Obituary of Mary Joan Landry
It is with deep sympathy that we announce the passing of Mary Joan Landry, age 81 of Little Anse who passed away peacefully on December 5, 2018 at her residence in St Anne’s Centre in Arichat surrounded by her family. Born August 2, 1937 in Little Anse, she was a daughter of the late Joseph W. and Zenna (Langlois) Samson. Joan will be sadly missed by her sons, Douglas (Lorena,) Arichat, Kevin, Halifax, Nolon (Brenda), Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Jason (Jolene), Randhall, Mireille, Marielle (Jonathan), Mitchell, Mason, Emily and Ryan; great grandchildren, Vander, Eidaca and Malik; brothers, Vernon, (Madeline) Samson, Petit de Grat, Cletus, (Laura), Vancouver, Elmer, (Doreen), Samson, Little Anse; sisters, Tillie Landry, Petit de Grat, Susan (Venard) Samson, D’Escousse. She was predeceased by her husband Rudolph; daughter, Margaret Anne; sisters, Annette, Doris, Rosaline, Antoinette; brother, Robert (Bobby). Visitation will be held in C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Monday from 6-9pm. Funeral Mass will take place Tuesday morning at 11am in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Petit de Grat with Rev. Michel Exalant presiding. Burial to follow in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat. A reception will follow the committal in the Social Action Centre in Little Anse. Memorial donations may be made to St. Anne’s Centre or to the charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home Limited in Arichat, N.S.
