Obituary Overview
Mary Jervois (Beamish) Stoll
Mary passed away peacefully at Extendicare Michener Hill in Red Deer. She was born at Youngstown on her parents’ sheep farm, where she grew up with her three younger sisters. She was married to Jim in 1937 and they continued living in Youngstown and raised their five children there. Mary was active in the community, including the library, Home and School, CWL, St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 50+ Club, and others. She loved to paint and gave away many of her paintings to family and friends. In 1996 Mary and Jim moved to Red Deer where they made many friends and lived the remainder of their lives. Mary was predeceased by Jim, her loving husband of 65 years, and by her sisters Winifred, Emily, and Kathleen. She is survived by her children: Charlie (Delvanir), Carol (Don) Lewis, Sylvia (Bob) Macpherson, Jim (Mary-Fran), Jane (John) Ferguson, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, her sister-in-law Irene Barbon and many nieces and nephews. Mary will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt and she will be missed by all. The family would like to extend a thank you to the wonderful staff at Extendicare (unit 1100) for their loving care of our Mom for the last 6 years.
Funeral services to be held at Eventide Funeral Home, 4820 45 Street, Red Deer, AB, Monday, November 12, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. A graveside service will take place Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 1:00p.m. at Youngstown Cemetery with a light tea to follow.
