OBITUARY
Mrs. Mary Evanisky
December 1, 1949 – July 31, 2018
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Mary passed away peacefully on July 31, 2018 surrounded by family.
Mary is pre-deceased by her parents, Elizabeth and Ignace Kurinka. She will be missed and is loved by her husband of 43 years Henry, sons Weston and Russell (Erika), granddaughter Sophia; brothers Joe, Lawrence (Betty), Eugene and Ernie of Lethbridge, Alberta as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Mary was an extremely hard working woman who cared deeply for her friends and family. She was always one to put the needs of others ahead of her own and would never turn anyone away. She loved spending time outdoors going for walks and doing yard work, shopping for a deal (she always found what you were looking for even if you didn’t know you needed it), going to the casino or playing card games.
The family would like to thank the staff at Vancouver Cancer Clinic, the Burnaby Palliative Care Team and St. Michael’s Hospice for all of their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Burnaby Hospice Society or the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. (See Links Below)
