It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marie McEvoy on Friday December 28, 2018 at the age of 94. Loving wife of the late Desmond McEvoy. Much loved mother of Peggy (John Falardeau), Gwen (Donna Johnson), Steve, Mike, Tom, Chris (Colleen), Mark (Jennifer) and the late Leonard John. Deeply cherished by 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Marie will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, 2 sisters-in-law, and many neighbours and friends, all of whom she appreciated greatly. Predeceased by Agnes, Cyril, Leo and Des, Marie was the last of her siblings. She had a long and fruitful life. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank Street (between Scrivens Drive and Metcalfe Corner) from 3-8 pm on Wednesday, January 2nd. Funeral Mass to St. Leonard’s Church, Thursday, January 3rd for Mass of Christian Funeral at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (40 Ruskin St. Ottawa K1Y 4W7) would be appreciated.
