MARIA (MIKA) REGIER
It is with a mixture of sadness and joy that we announce the passing of Mika Regier, beloved mother, grandmother (Oma) and great grandmother (Uhr-oma), who went to be with the Lord on Noveember 11, 2018, her 88th birthday.
Mika’s health had been slowly declining for the past three years since the passing of Peter, her husband of nearly 65 years. Since summer, this decline accelerated until her peaceful passing on Sunday morning.
She leaves to mourn her passing but with great thankfulness that she was part of our lives, her children, Herbert (Marlene), Elvira (Douwe), Irmgard (Irvin), Wilfred (Jennifer), Tamira (Elwood) and Randy (Vanessa). She also leaves her grandchildren, Melanie (Rocky), David (Kelly), Heidi (David), Justin, Joel, Ronalee (Joshua), Shelby (Tracey), Alexandra (Michael), Ian, Max, Madeleine, Anika, Emmie and Jacob, and nine great-grandchildren, Easton, Griffin, Cooper, Logan, Isla, Olivia, Jack, Hannah and Hailey, and two sisters, Aenny and Susie. She was predeceased by her husband Peter and six of her eight siblings.
We are very grateful for the exceptional care she was given in Donwood Manor, her home for the last two years of her life.
The celebration of life will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday November 16, 2018 at the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Road, Winnipeg, with viewing prior to the service. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Donwood Foundation – Donwoodmanor.org.
