OBITUARY
Margaret Jean Matheson
July 24, 1918 – December 19, 2018
Jean passed away peacefully at the age of 100 years in Edmonton, Alberta on the 19th day of December, 2018.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter Betsy (Rafeek) Hamid; sons Jim (Ina) Matheson, and Mac Matheson; grandchildren James Rutledge, Jessica Matheson, William Matheson and Patricia Hamid (Lee O’Donnell); great-grandchildren Coral, Amber, Lily and Isabella.
Jean was an active member of Strathcona Presbyterian Church (now Mill Woods Presbyterian Church) and a 60 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She worked for many years at the Alberta Research Council.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 am at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 9810 – 34 Avenue, Edmonton with private interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations to Hope Mission would be greatly appreciated.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at Jubilee Lodge for their dedicated care.
