Margaret Hill
January 09, 1972 – March 16, 2018
Hill, Margaret (Margie) – Passed suddenly on March 16, in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
Survived by her three children, Coddy, Candace and Chelsea and only granddaughter Kayley. Her Mother, Eliza and siblings, Connie (Andre), Joey (Margaret Ann), Bonnie (Dan) and Jennifer (Stephen) and many other very special nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving father Joseph and brother Gary (Bud).
Margie was born in St. Anthony, Newfoundland and as a young adult moved to Ontario where she married Frank and raised their three children. Growing up Margie had a way about her that was feisty, free spirited and outspoken. She always had an infectious smile that could light up a room the moment she walked in. She was a beautiful, caring soul who walked the beat of her own drum. Margie had an enormous heart and deeply loved her family and friends. She was the type of person who would give a stranger the shirt off her back and exuded compassion. Her passion for animals was second to none as she was the first to take in and adopt or rescue animals needing a home. She loved children and had a wonderful way with them and we are saddened that she never got to meet her own beautiful granddaughter she was so proud of. Margie was well known for her time in the kitchen and putting off feasts fit for royalty. She will be always remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt whose greatest passion was her family.
We wish she had recognized the beauty and strength that everyone else saw in her. She fought so hard like a warrior many days and was strong until the end. Margie is now at peace, she will be deeply missed by all. We will always cherish the rich memories and times that we spent together. If there is one thing we would like to pass along that Margie taught us all and that is that to never say good bye to someone you love without telling them you love them. This was an action she lived by daily to always spread love and tell the ones she loved how much they meant, even referring to her Mom as not only her mother, but her best friend. We will remember in our hearts how often she told us she loved us and continue to pass on her loving ways.
A service will be held at Caul’s Funeral Home on Friday with visitation from 12-2 pm followed by a celebration of life service at 2pm. Cremation to follow.
The family wishes to thank you all for the support, love and care during this challenging time.
