Mabel Summers
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mabel Summers on June 17th, 2018. Mabel was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on January 6th, 1931, but grew up in Belfast, Ireland. As a young lady she had a burgeoning career as an actress and singer in Vancouver. Her family and friends will always remember her amazing rendition of “Danny Boy”.
She left her career to raise her family of five children. Mabel was predeceased by her loving husband David and her son Brent. She leaves behind her children Dave [Heather], Jacqueline [Randy], Mark [Sherry] & Craig. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Jaime, Chadwick, David Jr., Justin, Aaron, Amanda, Todd, Travis & Elisha. And great-grandchildren Caleb, Zachary, Maria, Joshua, Jacob, Ashlyn, Marcus & Keira.
A celebration of life will be held at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby on Saturday, August 4th at 11:00am.
