Brewer, Luke Royden
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Luke R.
Brewer of Zealand, NB on November 12, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers
Hospital from a recurring battle with cancer.
Luke was born on July 12, 1936 at Zealand, NB, a son of the late
Gideon and Sybil (Estey) Brewer.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marlene (Morehouse) Brewer;
his daughter Patricia Mulligan (Brian); his son Stacy Brewer
(Jennifer) and grandson Noah Brewer; his sisters, Catherine Brewer,
Brenda Summers and Lorraine Brewer-Wilson; his brothers, Peter,
Glendon, Bruce (Mattie) and Gregory (Maureen); several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his parents, Luke was predeceased by his brothers Neil,
Edison, Leslie, and Victor.
Luke enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and working in the
woods that started alongside his father and eventually led to his
employment as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. He was a long time employee
of Lounsbury Industrial Ltd. before moving on to Valley Forest Ltd.
where he retired in 1991.
Visitation will be held at the Burtts Corner Christian Church on
Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 6 to 9 pm followed by the funeral
service on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2 pm with Rev. Daniel Foreman
officiating. Interment will follow at the Zealand Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Elmo Brewer, Tom Egers, Ralph Jones, Donnie
Flowers, Andre Roach and Chris Feero. For those who wish to make a
donation in memory of Luke the family has suggested, the NB
Extra-Mural Program, the Burtts Corner Christian Church Building Fund
or the Zealand Community Cemetery.
