It is with deep sadness that we announce Lucy’s peaceful passing at the Kirkland & District Hospital on January 19, 2018. Lucy was predeceased by her parents and is lovingly remembered by her husband Brian Coghlan and her little canine friend Sam; her siblings Joanne (Reg Belair) of Kapuskasing, Suzanne (Andre) Lecours of Hearst and Len Beland (MaryJane) of Thunder Bay; her nieces and nephews Annie Belair (Martin), Julie Belair (Mike),Luc Lecours (Sharon), Roxanne Laurin (Joel), Sophie Freeman(Bill), Michele Beland (Joanne) and Marc Beland (Kimberly) Matante Gousse will also be missed by her great nieces and nephews; Rosalie, Jade, Sara, Sean, Emilie, Rennee, Jeremy and Chloe. Lucy’s passion was her flower garden where she would spend countless hours surrounding herself with beautiful flowers that only she could grow so well. She would help the Horticultural Society in their spring planting and enjoyed walking Sam with her best friend Susan, around Nettie Lake, her home of 35 years. She was a kind and gentle person. Lucy received the very best of care from the nurses she had worked with for 33 years at the Kirkland and District Hospital . The quality of care was simply the best, sometimes with a tear or two, but compassionate and professional all the way. The hospital is to be complimented on their pet policy as it allowed her little guardian angel Sam, to be with her every day, giving her all the love she so deserved. Special thanks to the Drs., Sharon, all of the nurses and to Carol who was with her to the end. Lucy will remain in our hearts forever.
