Remembered by several nieces and nephews in both Canada and the United States. Music was a big part of Lorrayne’s life. As a teenager in Chicago, she sang at several social events and dinners. Upon her arrival in Sarnia, Lorrayne took an active singing role in the St. Peter’s Senior church choir and later led the folk group as well as the Italian choir. Lorrayne was a member of the Polysar Glee Club for over 50 years, singing on stage in many chorus and character roles as well as stage directing and back stage work. She also taught piano and voice lessons from her home. Her activities also included the Brownie section of Canadian Girl Guiding, co-ordinating the Festival of Trees for the former Lambton Lung Society, assisting in the Rotary pancake breakfasts under the Blue Water Bridge and volunteering with her husband John, in Sarnia Minor and Silver Stick Hockey. Many will remember Lorrayne as the secretary at St. Helen’s school and as an executive secretary for superintendents at the former Lambton County RC Separate School Board. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League for over 60 years. Lorrayne will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Doctors Cheong and Dobbs for their attentive care of Lorrayne, as well as 4th floor Medical A charge nurse Paula and her staff, especially Sophie, Cheryl, Sara, Jaime, and Lisa.
