OBITUARY
Lorraine Marie (Keefe) Boyd
December 31, 1921 – November 11, 2018
96, departed with the angels to be with Arthur, her husband of 38 years, and her parents Luke and Kathryn. She also joins her brothers Bruce, Terry, Eric, and sister Patricia (Casey). Lorraine was a dedicated mother. She and Arthur are survived by their two sons, Stephen (Flora Searle), David and their daughter Christine (Farrell). She dearly loved her grand-daughters Kelin and Kristin. Lorraine enjoyed travelling and especially visiting family in River Bourgeois, Boston and Newfoundland. Summers on Prospect Bay were a special delight for Lorraine where she relished playing many hands of bridge and games of cribbage. Lorraine will be remembered fondly by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lorraine has been a resident of Parkland where she has always been treated like a princess. She wished that warm thanks be extended to Dr. Lewis, Dr. Collicott, the wonderful nursing teams and staff at Jamieson Hall and Glasgow Hall.
There will be a celebration of life at Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church on Maple Street, Dartmouth on Wednesday, Nov 21, 2018 at 12:00 NOON with interment at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations in Lorraine’s memory may be made to Hope Cottage, Feed Nova Scotia or a charity of choice.
