Dearly loved wife of John A. Golding, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Friday, April 27th, 2018 from the Loch Lomond Village. Born on June 6th, 1932, in Saint John, the daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Harrison) Greer.
Lorraine worked at Lawson Motors as a book keeper and switchboard operator until the children were born and then she became a stay-at-home Mom. Lorraine had a deep love for God and was a very devoted wife and mother. She will be remembered for her quiet personality, and for her great cooking skills.
Lorraine will be greatly missed by her surviving husband John as well as their three children; Lynda Chan, Bruce Golding (Anna Marie), Tracy Golding and her eleven grandchildren: Samuel, Daniel, Ezekiel, Jonathan and Joy; Jacob and Chelsea; Rachel, Matthew, Joshua and William; and a very close and loving cousin Mary Lou Harrison.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to nurses and staff at the ‘Village” for their care and love shown during her stay there and their exceptional compassion and love shown in the final days.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held at St. Mary and St. Bartholomew’s Church (646 Westmorland Road) on Tuesday, May 1st from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Celebration of Lorraine’s Life will take place from the church on Wednesday, May 2nd at 11 a.m. followed by an interment at Fernhill Cemetery.
