Obituary of Lillian Packer
Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Friday evening, January 19th, 2018. Lillian Elizabeth Packer (nee Newman), of Chatsworth, at the age of 72 years. Dearly loved partner and best friend of Gordon Harbottle and wife of the late Douglas Packer (1991). Loving mother of Kim Stewart and her husband, Paul and Jeff Packer and his partner, Susie Albright both of Chatsworth. Proud grandmother of Brady, Brandon and Calvin Stewart, Halle Brooke Packer and Brett Albright. Dear sister of Ken Newman (Gwen), of Woodford, Bob Newman, of Milton, Anne McCallum (Al), of Owen Sound and sister-in-law of Linda Davis (Ken), of Huntsville. Lillian will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and the Harbottle family. Predeceased by her parents, Marshall and Bessie Newman; her sister-in-law, Marie Newman; her niece, Myrna Thomas.
Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for Lillian Packer will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Michael Henkel officiating. Spring interment in Shiloh Cemetery. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Township of Chatsworth for the Capital Campaign as an expression of sympathy.
