Cherished Forever
Leona passed away peacefully at the Chinook Hospice on Monday June 18, 2018 with her daughters by her side.
Leona is survived by her daughters: Karey Kalo and Leah (Mark) Dumoulin; her grandchildren: Aidan, Ethan, and Ashley Dumoulin; as well as her siblings: Elaine (Danny) Barth, Edith Sehn, Evelyn Sansregret, Linda (Milt) Klaudt, and Danny (Helen) Brilz and many other loving family and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ben Kalo; parents John and Anna Marie Brilz; brothers-in-law Leonard Sansregret and Harry Sehn; and a brother John Joseph Brilz in infancy.
Leona loved having fun, cooking, entertaining and was the master of pranks. She had a big heart and loved many with a special soft spot for seniors.
We would like to thank all the staff at Chinook Hospice for the loving, compassionate care they provided in her last days. We are forever grateful for these “angels on earth”.
Leona will be remembered at a Celebration of Life Ceremony at Mountain View Funeral Home, (Prairie View Chapel 1605-100 Street SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
