September 7, 1940 – November 27, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Len Norlin announce his passing on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.
Len was born in Athabasca, Alberta, on September 7, 1940 to Ivor and Elsie Norlin.
Len moved, with his family, to many places in B.C. and Alberta before settling in Enderby B.C. at the age of 17. There he met the love of his life Wendy Hassard. They married on September 3, 1965.
First working at construction jobs around the area, Len moved on to Vernon to work for Irly Bird. Then, until his retirement, he worked many years for Tri Star Engine Rebuilders (previously Sun Auto).
Len was an avid outdoorsman, with hunting and fishing his main hobbies. He was involved in many organizations over the years, most recently the Armstrong Fish and Game Club. He was proud of feeding his family from his large garden with much help from his grandkids.
Len has been reunited with his parents and his older brother, Ernest. Also with his brother-in-law, and sister-in-law Earl & Joyce Hassard.
He is survived by his loving wife, Wendy, children, Evan (Sarah), Marena (Don), Dean (Karyn), Allen (Mara) and eight special grandchildren, Naomi, Kelsie & Kallie, Jayden, Alyssa & Reid, Brayden & Maddox.
He is also survived by his brother Art Norlin (Diane)and his Aunt Emma Lindstrom, age 94. Six nephews and many cousins.
The Celebration of Len’s life will be in St. Andrew’s United Church, Enderby, on Friday December 7th at 11 0’clock.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Len Norlin November 27th 2018..
