Lawrence Barrette Oct 24 1936 Jan 09 2018 avis de deces

Lawrence passed away peacefully at Hospice of Windsor on January 9, 2018 following a courageous battle with cancer. Devoted husband of Yvonne (nee Lessard) his side-kick for more than 50 years. As legend would have it Daisy, Rosie, Dolly, Bones and Noelle will be waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge. Lawrence is the son of Ernest (1991) and Eva (1978). Predeceased by Marianne (1931), Ernest Jr. (1931), Rita (1935), Marguerite (1946), Frank (2012)(Doreen), Gerald (2003)(Pauline), Rosaire (2005). Survived by Armand & Annette, Jeanne Schives, and Corinne & Maurice Pinsonneault. Beloved son-in-law of Alfred (1989) and Evelyn Lessard (2005). Brother-in-law to Ed Lessard (Beatrice, 1989)(Margaret, 2005), Leo Lessard (Vicky, 2014), Ted & Elaine Lessard, Fred Lessard, Pat & George Krakana, and Dolores & Bill Lessard. Lawrence was also loved by many nieces and nephews who were like his children. Lawrence was happiest when he was on his John Deere helping our neighbors push snow or any other job that required the Big Green Machine. He enjoyed many quiet hours in his bush with the animals who thought he was St. Francis. After working at Fauteux for 34.5 years he started up LB Trucking for a successful 10 year run. This was one of his proudest achievements. Lawrence was a mellow man of few words who easily earned the respect of others. Hon. Life Member of Knights of Columbus, Fr. Nicholas Point Council 4375. A special thank you goes out to my families: the Barrette’s, the Lessard’s, & the Krakana’s for their support & encouragement . Thank you to my neighbors and friends old and new who were there for me no matter what. A heartfelt thank you to my brother Leo who opened his heart and home to me while Lawrence was at Hospice. We were “roomies” for the duration of this journey. Also thanks to CCAC for all their care over the past two years. The staff at Hospice took excellent care of Lawrence during the last lap of his journey. Their kindness to both Lawrence and I was exceptional. Dr. Loebach – your visits to Lawrence at Hospice brought comfort to him when he needed it most.
‘Til we meet again LB
