It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kurt on April 10, 2018. Kurt was pre-deceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Marlene in 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Brett), his son, Brian (Jennifer), his brother Klaus (Crista) in Germany, his many nieces and nephews and his two grandchildren, Sawyer and Penelope.
Kurt emigrated from Nuremburg, Germany in 1957 and settled in Montreal. There he met his wife and in 1964 they were married and moved to Vancouver to begin their life together. Kurt had a long career in the graphic arts industry beginning at Cleland-Kent and ending with Bowne of Canada, when he retired at the age of 58.
Kurt lived his life to the fullest and age did not slow him down as he continued to enjoy his favourite activities until the end; skiing, ping-pong, photography, gardening and most of all fishing at the family cabin at Lillooet Lake. A celebration of life will be held at the Copper Sky (West) Clubhouse, at 4500 Westwater Drive, Richmond, BC on April 21, 2018 from 2 pm to 5 pm.
