Ken passed away on Sep 17th, 2018 at VGH. Ken was born in Comox, BC on Feb 14th, 1956 to parents Naida (née Thompson) and Alvin. He was predeceased by his wife Judy and brother Rod. He is survived by his two children Tory and Kayleigh (Neil); his brothers, Barry (Pauline), Darryl (Maggie) and Dean (Jill), sister in law Barb; his many loved nieces and nephews; and his grandchildren, Livia and Benson. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Ken was a draftsman by trade and later worked as a self-employed artist; when his wife passed he became a devoted stay at home dad. He loved calligraphy and shared his talent with other members of The Fairbank Society. Ken found joy in using his creative talent to help others, and he leaves behind many sentimental pieces to remember him by.
A Service will be held on Saturday, October 6th, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive Victoria BC, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
