Kenneth MacLean
The death of Kenneth MacLean of Charlo occurred Saturday, April 7th, 2018 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 96. Born in Charlo, he was the son of the late Angus and Ida (Lubert) MacLean.
Kenneth is survived by his son Donald and Donald’s wife Gloria of Charlo; his grandchildren Brian (Janet) of Dalhousie, Allen of Charlo, and Heather (Shane) Banfield of Riverview; as well as his great-granddaughters Alyssa, Keira and Sarah. He was predeceased by his wife Lillian, to whom he was married for 67 years, as well as his sisters Rhoda, Esma, Helen and Opal.
Kenneth spent almost a century being known by those around him for his love and appreciation of the outdoors: gardening, hunting, fishing, cutting wood and working on his tractor all brought him an immense joy. He cherished the quieter moments in life, too, often wanting to just sit for a little while. These are memories that Kenneth’s family and friends will carry with them forever.
At the family’s request, donations in Mr. MacLean’s memory may be made to the Presbyterian Building Fund or to the charity of one’s choice.
A funeral for Kenneth will be held at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Dalhousie, on Wednesday afternoon, April 11th, 2018 at 2 PM, with a visitation at the church beginning one hour prior. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
