BATTE, KENNETH JOSEPH Mar. 12-1934- Feb. 25, 2018
Passed away peacefully at Freeport Hospital. Beloved husband of Jean Sadlo for 58 ½ years. Loving father of Larry and Lea, Bryan and Pam, Ken and Helen. Ken had a very special place in his heart for his grandchildren Nikki, Kati (Derhyk), Joni, Megan, Jami (Alex), Joe, Jerica (Luke) and step grandchildren Jake (Jessica), Kendel (Jordon), Simon and Colton.
Loved brother of Joann Becker, Laureen (Frank) Milos, Florence/Sister Simone, Bill, Marlene Christie, Ruth (Leo) Tremblay, Yvonne Lewis, Wayne, Diane (Bernie) Cotter, Judy (Rob) McCoubrey, Angela Jenson, Joe (Marj), Dave (Marlene), Valerie Grady and Stephen. Dear brother-in-law of Dan Cleary, Anna Marie Lamb, Rita (John) Black, Helen Meyer and Jim Sadlo. Survived by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Ken’s daughter Brenda Marie, brother Bradley, parents Joseph (Ann Doyle) Batte, Albert (Eleanor Illerbrun) Sadlo, and in-laws Jim Becker, Robert Christie, Vernon Lewis, John Lamb, Jim Meyer, Freida Sadlo, John and Pat Sadlo. Special thanks to the staff of the 3rd floor of Freeport Hospital for their special care.
Cremation has taken place. To celebrate Ken’s life, the family will receive their friends at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Homes Waterloo Chapel, 617 King St. N., Waterloo for a Memorial Service at 1pm on Saturday, March 3rd. (visitation from 11am-1 pm). Reception in the Wellington Room to follow.
