Forever In Our Hearts
It is with deep sadness the family of Kenneth Alexander Adie announces his passing on Saturday, August 11, 2018.
Ken was born February 17, 1932 to Alexander Adie and Martha Paterson around Stoughton, SK. Ken attended Springbrooke Country School and high school in Fort Qu’Appelle.
On July 8, 1953 Ken married his high school sweetheart, Joan Ann nee Eddas. They had four children Brenda, Cathy, Greg and Mark.
Ken was predeceased by his wife Joan; parents Alexander and Martha; sisters Jean Robb, Doreen Tebb, brothers-in-law Lance Robb, Richard Tebb; and nephew Allen Robb.
He is survived by children Brenda (Barry) Neufeld, Cathy (Lorne) Smelsky, Greg (Heather) Adie and Mark (Stacy) Adie; grandchildren Dean (Andrea) Neufeld, Scott (Nicole) Neufeld, Kiel Neufeld, Brett Neufeld, David Smelsky (Stephanie Lessmeister), Kristen Smelsky (Trent Herrington), Jessie Knibbs, (Ian) Rachael Adie and Grace Adie; great grandchildren Aubrey Neufeld, Chase Neufeld, Owen Halushka, Bennet Smelsky, Emma Knibbs, Anthony Knibbs, Elizabeth Knibbs, Ava Knibbs and Elliot Knibbs; as well as very dear niece and nephews; and special friend Marion McKechnie.
Ken worked for many years in the Co-op system. He ended his work career as a small business consultant and went on to do private small business consulting.
Ken was an avid bridge player and was involved in numerous organizations over the years, including Rotary, Kinsmen and Masons.
He was active in his church, Wesley United.
Our family would like to thank the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit staff for their kind and compassionate care.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Broadway Terrace, 1150 Broadway Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
