Keith Harry Anderson November 28th 2018 avis de deces

March 2, 1938 – November 28, 2018
With sad hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Keith Anderson at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on November 28, 2018. His struggles with multiple heath issues are over, and he is at peace.
Keith was born in Vancouver, BC. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy at age 17 in 1955 and served 2 years (Cornwallis, Gloucester, Athabaskan and Naden).
When he returned to BC he began his career with BC Tel in 1957. He worked as a groundman on the old ten man heavy gang. A lot of the work was labour intensive including putting up the telephone poles with pike poles and digging holes with shovels and digging bars. He was also an installer and repairman and cable splicer. At times there were short stints in Osoyoos and Grand Forks, but he lived and worked for the company out of Surrey, Aldergrove and Abbotsford until retiring in 1989.
In his younger years he was involved with a custom car club. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and camping with his family and friends.
Keith met his future partner Pat Harris in the Fraser Valley Hikers Club in Abbotsford in 1981. When he retired they started travelling with the pickup truck and travel trailer and visited many national parks in the US, BC and Alberta. He felt so fortunate that they had this freedom to spend much time in the outdoors camping, hiking, x-country skiing and bicycling. They bought the acreage in Enderby during this period, later building a home and tackling various home and outdoor projects over the years. Keith and Pat also enjoyed outings with Shuswap Outdoors Club.
Aside from being very conscientious and detailed in everything he did, Keith enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved visits with family and friends. He liked to read, listen to music, play cards, watch movies on DVD, carpentry and enjoy nature. He had an ongoing interest in natural health for many years. His family and friends will remember Keith for his smile, kind nature, unique sense of humour and ready willingness to help where needed.
Keith leaves behind his dedicated partner and wife of 35 years Pat Harris, loving daughter Pam Anderson, cherished twin granddaughters Amy and Katherine Spanier, and beloved son Darren Anderson. He is survived also by the mother of his children Janice Farquhar, his brother Wayne (Joan) Anderson, nieces and nephews, cousins and all their families. Fondly remembered by Pat’s brother Mike (Wendy) and their daughters Beth and Julia. He is predeceased by his parents Harry and Bessie Anderson, aunts, uncles and cousins.
We wish to thank Community Care Nurses and Care Aides for their support. Your care, dedication and concern was greatly appreciated. Special thanks also to Enderby Community Health Centre staff and Dr. Abayomi, and nurses and doctors on level 7 at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
A Celebration of Keith’s Life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Keith to the charity of their choice. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.MyAlternatives.ca.
“Where I have gone I am not so small.
My soul is as wide as the world is tall.
I have gone to answer the call, the call
Of the one who takes care of us all.
Wherever you look, you will find me there.
In the heart of a rose, in the heart of a prayer,
On butterfly wings, on wings of my own
To you I am gone, But I am never alone.. I am home.”

Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Keith Harry Anderson November 28th 2018..
