Passed away peacefully on March 23rd, 2018 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Montreal, surrounded by loved ones. She bravely endured Parkinson’s disease, never relinquishing her love for God and family, and her joy of life, and finally succumbed to the sudden onset of cancer.
She was born on April 15th 1938 in Gothena Greece to Michael and Panagiota Tzanakos. Beloved wife of fifty-five years to Konstantinos, treasured daughter-in-law to Eleni, loving mother to Helen (John), Mary and Peter (Allison), cherished grandmother to Alexander, Michael, Anastasia, Konstantine and Nikolas, devoted sister to Vasilios (Eleni), Julia, Dimitra, Peter, and sister-in-law to Diana (Nino), Tassy (Liza), she will be lovingly remembered by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and sisters and brothers in God.
Visitation at the Kane & Fetterly funeral home, 5301 Decarie Blvd., (corner Isabella) on Wednesday from 4 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass at Church of the Holy Trinity, 1565 Boulevard Curé-Labelle, Laval, on Thursday, March 29 at 11:00 a.m., thence to Mount Royal Cemetery for the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation, www.mountsinaifoundation.org in memory of Anastasia.
