Died suddenly at Ajax Pickering Hospital on Tuesday October 23rd, 2018. Karl Reid, of Ajax, formerly of Picton, at the age of 79. Beloved husband for fifty-five years of Donna. Loved Dad of Kimberly ”Kim » Reid and her husband Paul Strijckers of Toronto, Elizabeth “Beth” Reid of Kelowna, BC, and Patricia “Trish” Hughes and her husband James of Ajax. Proud Poppy of Alex Hughes and Liam Strijckers. Karl enjoyed meeting and serving people during his many years working at Carters Hardware, Canadian Tire, and Stanley’s Furniture. A private family graveside service will have taken place at Cherry Valley Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the Whattam Funeral Home, 33 Main Street, Picton on Tuesday October 30th from 2 until 4 p.m. If desired, donations to the BGH Foundation – Stroke Clinic or the PECMH Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family.
