Karen Louise Sinclair, 62, of Winnipeg, MB, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 1st, 2018 while surrounded by her family and friends at the Health Science Center. Karen was born in Churchill, MB on January 20, 1956 and has called Winnipeg, Mb. her home for most of her life.
Karen was pre-deceased by her parents, Horace Sinclair and Hazel Henderson. Her sisters Jean, Audrey and Hannah; and brothers Charlie, Larry, Clarence and Jules.
She is survived by her first husband Sidney Letandre Sr. which they later divorced and partner Ernie Shorting, who she had lived with for over 20 years. Her sisters; Patty (Eugene), Ellie (Gerald), Tina and brother Melbert. She has 4 children; Sidney John Jr., Lavinia, Annette and Clinton (Whitney). Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends to name.
Karen enjoyed reading, being with family and attending bingo, which was her favorite activity. She’s known for her lovingly teasing ways and was a great story teller. Karen was a good listener, confidant and always willing to offer guidance if you were in a time of need.
Her wonderful spirit, joy, and memories will be celebrated at an 11am service on Monday, July 9th at the Eternal Grace Funeral Home on 10-1111 Logan Avenue. The burial will follow at section 39 of Brookside Cemetery. Prior to the service; a wake/viewing will take place on Sunday evening of July 8th from 7pm to 12am.
