Joyce A.’s Obituary
Long time resident of Brownvale (AB), Joyce Audrey Sydnes (nee McKay) passed away at home on December 16, 2018, at the age of 77 years and 14 days.
Joyce was best remembered to the public as the CAO of the M.D. of Peace. Starting under humble beginnings, she served from 1984-2006, of which was Joyce’s passion, regardless of career.
Joyce loved baseball-as she played ladies fastball, as well. She spent her commitments as a member of the Brownvale Curling Club for years (1973-2015), being a part of the Berwyn Golden Age Club, Brownvale Community Club and volunteered immeasurable hours at Lac Cardinal Regional Pioneer Village Museum.
She is survived by her husband Ken; daughterd Alison Renneberg (Steve Kramer) of Fairview (AB) and Valerie (Heath) Wollms of Red Deer (AB), 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grand child.
An uplifting Memorial for Joyce will take place Friday, December 21, 2018 At 1:00p.m. with Elie Robinson officiating.
Donations in Joyce’s name may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation and/or Lac Cardinal Regional Pioneer Village Museum Society.
