Pope, John Percy “Jack” – Age 70, of Balfron, Colchester County, passed away suddenly in the woods in Balmoral, October 24, 2018. Born November 13, 1947 in Balmoral, Jack was a son of the late Edward and Annie (Marshall) Pope. He is survived by sisters, Pauline (Raymond) Fix; Barbara (Fred) Rose; Isabel (Neil Lynds) Pope; brother, William (Judy) Pope; brother-in-law, Brian Seaman; nieces, Vanessa King; Alison (Craig) Hayman; Cathy (David) Shortt; Sherry Allen; Nephews, Daniel Pope; Peter (Erin) Pope; special God-child, Nicole Church. Jack will also be deeply mourned by his best female friend, Darlene Hayman and his loving companion, Daphne Pitcher; also, many grand nephews and nieces. Jack was predeceased by his ever-loving wife, Brenda; brother, Donald Pope; sister, Carol Morrison; Nephews, Grant King and Jason Pope; niece, Alisa Veno. Jack loved to travel and visited many parts of the world including Europe, Asia, New Zealand and Australia. He drove dump trucks and tractor trailers, was an electrician and member of the IBEW since 1972 but, working in the woods was where he wanted to be most even with health problems in the past few years. He had a second career as a blueberry grower and woodsman. Cremation has taken place. A time of visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche with a funeral service to be 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, also in the funeral home. A private interment will be in The Falls Cemetery. Flowers are welcome but memorial donations to Willow Lodge Home for Special Care would be appreciated.
