Jack Henry passed away in ICU on Thursday, December 20, 2018 surrounded by his family at the age of 75 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, David and Anabelle Henry; brother, Norman Henry; and nephew, Russell Henry.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Carol Henry; sisters, Sally Davie and Betty Cassic; daughter, Colleen (Tyler) Haar; grandsons, Keith, Kevin and Cody Penner; granddaughter-in-law Gabrielle Young; granddaughter, Jordin Haar; great-grandson Bodhi Penner; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Jack was a professional driver for most of his life. Anyone who knew him was aware of his love for driving trucks, old cars and vehicles. He was a Heavy Duty Mechanic by trade and worked as a foreman for both railways.
He had great faith and was aware that the Lord was taking him home. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor, His compassion and love for all people and had an entertaining story or song to reflect every situation. He loved life and made every situation humorous.
Jack became fast friends with everyone he met. He had a way of making people feel comfortable and welcome.
Jack will be very deeply missed by his wife, family, friends and his beloved dog; Charlie. A part of him lives on in songs, laughter and beautiful memories.
