EWART: Elizabeth “Betty” . It is with great sadness that Betty’s family announce her passing on April 30, 2018 in Kelowna. Betty was born on April 4, 1933 into one of the original pioneer families in the Cariboo, the Ogdens. She is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Norm, her parents, Percy and Elizabeth Ogden, her brothers Archie, Hugh, Peter and Billy. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Brenda (Deryl), Leslie (Les) ,her grandchildren, Leah (Billy), Breanne, Derae, Clarke, Kurtis, and great granddaughter Avery, her sister Anne MacDonald as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Betty loved her Cariboo roots and other than going to school in Vancouver, she spent her life in Lac la Hache up until the death of Norm in 2009.In 2010 she moved to Kelowna to be closer to one of her daughters. Even though she moved to Kelowna, she always considered Lac la Hache as her home. We are bringing Betty home and will celebrate this amazing woman’s life May 12, 2018 at 230 pm at the Lac la Hache Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arthritis Society in Betty’s memory would be appreciated. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.firstmemorialfuneralkelowna.com.
