It is with heavy hearts, and her caring son by her side, that
the family of Jeannine Emma Hopey announce her death on Sunday,
September 9, 2018 at Hospice House, Fredericton, NB.
Born in Benton, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and
Margaret Watson. Jeannine was retired from the New Brunswick
Electric Power Commission after 35 years of
service.
Survived by her son, Michael J. Hopey (Wendy Murray) of
Waltham, Massachusetts, USA, her sister-in-law, Mary Watson,
Woodstock, NB, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, husband, James Hopey,
and brother Alden Watson. She was the last surviving member
of her immediate family.
To honour Jeannine’s wishes, there will be no
visitation or formal funeral service, as per her request. A
grave side service will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery on Thursday
September 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Canon Kevin Stockall
officiating.
Memorial donations in her memory, may be made to the Canadian
Cancer Society, Hospice House, Fredericton, N. B., or the charity of

The family are grateful to Dr. B. Sainz, Dr. Raza, Dr. Naz,
and a special thank you to Dr. Renfew, formerly of Moncton, for the
exceptional care, and the wonderful staff of Hospice House.
