August 3, 1938 – August 27, 2018
Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at Lakeside Homes, Jean Elizabeth Jenkins at the age of 80 years. She is predeceased by her loving husband Roy Maxwell Jenkins, parents Frederick and Clara Bishop, parents-in-law Herbert & Louise Jenkins, brother-in-law Robert Stares. Leaving to celebrate her life Sons: Brent (Judy), Craig (Maureen), daughter Susan (Dan Corkery), grandchildren: Whitney (Matt), Jenna (Brett), Christian and Kyle, great grandchildren Griffin and Kacee, her devoted loving sister Iris Stares, brother-in-law Herbert (Loretta), sisters-in-law Bernice, Louise, Helen (Don), many nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends. Many thanks to family physician, Dr. Tony Gabriel and the staff at Lakeside Homes for their care and attention these past few months. In keeping with Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will be receiving friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home, 60 Roe Avenue, Gander on Tuesday August 28, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday August 29, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. There will be a private family service held following visitation. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations in Jean’s memory may be made to the Arthritis Society or the Fraser Road United Church.
