Obituary of Janice Vodden
Vodden, Janice Ann (Van Delinder) – Peacefully, after a long courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis, on Thursday May 24th, 2018 at the Guelph General Hospital, surrounded by her husband and parents. Janice was in her 56th year, beloved wife of Paul Vodden. Loving mother of Michael Fisher, her only child. Dear daughter of Jim and Joyce Van Delinder and sister to Lori (Greg) White and Sandra Field. Fondly loved and remembered by nieces and nephews, special friendship with Paul’s sons, Bill Vodden and James Paul Vodden and their families.
Janice was a vibrant and charismatic individual who will be fondly remembered by all that knew her – her smile lit up a room and her positive outlook on life was infectious.
The family would like to thank the staff and personal care workers at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Guelph, who comforted and cared for Janice during the five years she called St. Joe’s « home ». She will be sadly missed by all.
Friends will be received in the Trafalgar Room at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905)877-3631 on Friday June 15th from 4-7 pm for a Celebration of Janice’s Life. Cremation has taken place. Janice loved life and truly cared for others – a memorial contribution to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph in lieu of flowers, would be truly appreciated.
