McCANN, James ‘Uncle Jim’ – Passed away suddenly at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Tuesday December 4, 2018 at the age of 69. He will be sadly missed by his ‘son’ Randy Wilkes, Randy’s children Jordan, Gage, Bella and Jacob and the Wilkes family. Jim was happy to have been recently reconnected with his cousins in the Summerhayes family of Port Hope this past July. He will be dearly missed by his four-legged friend Billo. Predeceased by his father James McCann Sr. (1968), his mother Ethel-Jean Sorley (1989) and his step-father John Sorley (1984). An employee of HOCO for 27 years, he was a die-hard music and movie buff. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main Street, Niagara Falls. A Celebration of Life and interment of ashes will take place at a later date. In memory of Jim, memorial contributions may be made directly to The Niagara Health Foundation (Walker Family Cancer Centre), and would be appreciated.
