James ‘Jim’ Wolfe
1936-2018
James « Jim » Barry Wolfe, of 18 Spruce Street,
Trenton, Nova Scotia, suddenly passed away on 17 September 2018 at the
young age of 82. He was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on 11 January
1936. Jim is survived by daughters, Lori-Anne and Michelle and son,
Mike and daughter-in law, Veronica; his grandchildren, Haley, Logan
and Nevada; sisters, Norma, Shirley and Marion; brothers, Bobby and
Gordy. He was predeceased by loving wife, Shirley (nee DeMont), mother
and father, Marguerite Adele (Della) and Archibald (Archie) and
sister, Dorothy. Jim had a long-standing career with Sobeys with an
early start in the Air Force. Jim was a legendary family man and
friend, an avid fisherman with a great passion for gardening and
baseball. Jim was known for his youthful spirit and his incredible
sense of humor. There will be a Celebration of Life on
Friday, September 21, from 3-7 pm with words of honour at 4 pm at the
Glasgow Square, Riverside Parkway, New Glasgow.
Donations in lieu of flowers towards the Alzheimer’s Society
or the QE II Foundation are gratefully appreciated. Arrangements are
under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New
Glasgow.
