STANZL, Ingeborg Julia Franziska
March 27, 1924 – December 19, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother and grandmother,Ingeborg Stanzl.
Ingeborg died peacefully on December 19, 2018 after a short illness.
She is predeceased by her husband, Frank Stanzl, and her son, Claude Stanzl.
Ingeborg is survived by her daughters, Linda Vannier-Moreau (Gilles) and Valerie Stanzl, and her two grandchildren, Amaury and Julien Vannier-Moreau.
We remember our mother as someone who never stopped learning. She pursued studies in literature, philosophy and psychology. Her creative expression found outlets in painting and drawing and later in life in writing and drama. When her beloved husband died suddenly at the age of 54, she courageously carried on with the company he founded. Her mother was very important to her and the memory of her mother’s love defined her way of being. We will miss our far-reaching and stimulating conversations. Our dear mother, we love you and miss you terribly.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 7th, 2019. The burial will take place at
Ocean View Burial Park (49th and Imperial St., Burnaby) at 10:00 a.m. This will be followed by a memorial service and reception at Immanuel Baptist Church (109 40th Avenue East, Vancouver, B.C.) starting at 1:00 p.m.
