OBITUARY
Henry Richard Paul Friesen
July 21, 1956 – September 11, 2018
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, Henry Richard Paul Friesen passed away suddenly at the age of 62 at his home in Princeton BC.
He was born in Abbotsford BC on July 21, 1956, the forth child of Abe and Helen Friesen.
He grew up on the family raspberry farm on Clearbrook Rd with his sisters Darlene and Vivian and brother Jim.
In his younger years he and his brother were quite mischievous, but he always had a good heart and a strong desire to pursue what was right.
He eventually found his niche as a highly qualified crane operator in the powerline industry. He was a mentor to many younger people who were learning this complex and dangerous trade.
When he wasn’t working, he loved spending time testing the limits of his 2300cc Triumph Rocket III motorcycle!
He loved to discuss his passionate views of the state of the world, and certainly knew how he would fix it!
He is predeceased by his parents, Abe & Helen Friesen and sister Darlene Beamon (Tom). He is survived by his wife Anna-Marie Friesen, children Lindsay Friesen (Louis) and Mathew Friesen (Taylor) and adored 20 month old granddaughter Payton, and stepsons Patrick Johansen and Curtis Sopkow; siblings Vivian Froese (Gerald) and Jim Friesen (Chris); and countless nieces, nephews and friends.
He was an amazing father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
A funeral will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 2:00pm at Northview Community Church – Mission Campus in Mission, B.C. – 33507 Dewdney Trunk Road, Mission B.C. V2V 6Y3 with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
