1933-2018
The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on September 14, 2018 at the age of 85 years. Beloved spouse of the late Irene “Bit” Savard (2018). Loving father of Nicole Mathieu (Dwain Gordon) of Hagensborg, BC., Claude Mathieu (Pamela Gaudreau) of Gogama, Marc Mathieu (Janet Laginha) of North Bay, Carole Harlock (Roderick) of St-Catharines and Francine Mathieu (Marc Beland) of Gogama. Cherished grandfather of Stephen, Shannon, Shelly, Christy, Kelsey, Stacey, Tamara, Thomas, Kayla, Kenny, Veronica, Monica, Roderick, Adam, Kristian, Cindy, Jessica and 28 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Doretha Fortin of St-Joseph-de-Beauce QC., Therese Massé of Marieville, QC., Huguette Lacharité (Marcel) of St-Hyacinthe, QC., Fleurette Mathieu of Quebec, QC., Jacqueline Cloutier (Marius) of Montreal, QC., Simone Mathieu of St-Victor-de-Beauce, QC., Edith Bolduc (Michel) de St-Victor-de-Beauce, QC., Andre Mathieu (Louiselle) of Montreal, QC., Paulin Mathieu (Blanche) of Magog, QC., and Gaston Mathieu (Helene Paré) de St-Victor-de-Beauce, QC. He was predeceased by his parents Bernard and Marie-Louise Mathieu, his brothers Emilien Mathieu and Dominique (Lucienne) Mathieu. Henri loved fishing and the great outdoors, as well as playing cards. As per his wishes cremation has been held and the Innichement will take place in Gogama, ON at a later date. Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and the parish of Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire of Gogama would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the
