ROOT, Helen Jean (Ferguson)
Passed away at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville on Sunday, March 18, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Earl Root (1980). Dear mother of James (Penny) of St. Catharines, Glenn (Karen) of Campbellville, and late Jane Harrison. Devoted and loving grandmother of Kerri, Jeff (Kristen), Chris, Jason (Laura) and Matthew; and great-granddaughter Tiffani. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at H.W.M.H. for their wonderful care. Helen will be remembered by her laughter, kinds words to all, and great love of family. Per Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A small family service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Dunnville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of your choosing would be sincerely appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, Dunnville.
When I leave you, don’t weep for me
Pass the wine around and remember
How my laughter pleased you.
Look at one another, smiling,
And don’t forget about touching.
Sing the songs that I love best.
And dance one more time all together.
As for me, I’ll be off, swimming
Somewhere on a beach and I’ll fly
