Helen Elizabeth Ferguson Barron
Mom has left us to go to her
Heavenly Home to be with her Lord and Saviour. Helen
Elizabeth Ferguson Barron passed away March 21,
2018.
Born April 24,1923 in Campbellton NB,
Betty was the daughter of the late Edward Boyd and Elizabeth
« Bessie » (Murray) Price.
Mom met her love and soul mate James
Munroe Barron and upon learning to bake bread, Munroe popped the
question. Betty continued to hone her baking skills while
bringing up their five children. After moving to Riverview
in 1968, Betty’s baking was appreciated at school functions, by
neighbourhood children both in Campbellton and in
Riverview.
Mom’s faith in the Lord
carried through out her life. She was a member of Riverview Baptist
Church. Mom was proud of her heritage, being a descendent of
the Rev. Joseph Crandall. She was a life member of the
Eastern Star, member of the Women’s Missionary
Society. She loved to getting out to Morning Bible Study and
her friends.
Being the last remaining
member of her immediate family, Betty is survived by her daughter
Brenda ( David) Maxwell, Barrington NS, sons David (Brenda),
Parkindale; Bill (Pam), Rothesay; Bob ( Karen) Upper Coverdale;
daughter-in-law Barbara Barron , Kamloops BC; sister-in-law Lois
Price, Campbellton, NB. Betty was the grandmother of 11 grandchildren,
Beth, James, Heather, Carter, Mark, Sally, Ashley , Kyle, Rob, Brad
and Drew one step-granddaughter Angela and 7 great grandchildren,
David, Emma, Betsy, Chase, Paisley and Kinsley.
Mom was predeceased by her parents, husband Munroe, son Douglas,
daughter-in-law Melody Peters Barron, siblings Wanda Illman, Jim
Price, and Howard Price.
The family thanks the staff at
Canterbury Hall for their kindness and superb care of our Mother, she
loved you all and spoke kindly about her care. We also want
to thank the staff oh 4th floor Moncton
Hospital for the care in her last days. You have all been so
kind and helpful to our family.
Mom requested there be no
viewing. A memorial service will take place at
Riverview Baptist Church, 122 McClelan Avenue, Riverview on Sunday,
March 25, 2018 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Mark Smith leading the service.
Reception following the service. Interment will be in Fair Haven
Memorial Gardens.
