It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mom, Helen Blake on November 2, 2018 in Vernon, BC. Mom was a vibrant, rare jewel who was extremely energetic and passionate about many things in life. She loved tandem hang gliding and paragliding, beading, sewing and there is no denying the fact that she lived life to the fullest in everything she did. Helen had a great love for her family and friends. She always had a big warm hug for everyone and she was deeply loved in return. Her bright shining spirit will be greatly missed by many. Helen is survived by her son Conrad Ross, daughters Candace Marie Douglas (Jesse), Cherie Lynn Douglas and Darcy Virden Ferns, grandchildren Caleb Ross (Brittany), Cheryl Matyash (Max), Krystle Aimee Leger, Alexander Douglas, Logan Ferns-Sherwin and Joy Paul, great-granddaughters Quinn and Jezebel, many nieces and nephews, the Freedom Flight Crew and many loving friends. She is predeceased by her parents Elsie and Leonard Blake, brothers Vern, Raymond and Alexander and son Darrell Ross. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
