Obituary Overview
Remembering
With great sadness, the family of Hazel Pilger announces her passing on September 24, 2018. Born in Mannville, Alberta on November 28, 1927, Hazel grew up on the family farm, later moving to Edmonton to become a teacher. One of her first teaching assignments took her to the Heather Brae district near Camrose, where she met her husband, Dick. The couple married in 1951, eventually settled in Sherwood Park, and had 63 years together before Dick passed away in 2014.
Family was important to Hazel, and she will be missed dearly by her children and their spouses: Rick (Marion), Renee (Jake) Pasma, Brad, Teresa (Norm) Gagnon, Brent, and Chris (Stella); her 10 grandchildren: Katherine, Neil, Kristin, Shannon, Leah, Paul, Lily, Juliana, Ruby and Nicholas; and four great-grandchildren: Florence, Beatrice, Emile, and Beausoleil. They are all thankful for the many wonderful memories with Mom, Grandma, or Great-Grandma. Hazel is also survived by her brother Glen Berg.
She was predeceased by her husband Dick, sisters Grace Frost and Laura Woods, and brothers George, Norman, and Howard Berg.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Hazel Pilger 2018..
