Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, musician and friend.
Quick to share a laugh and always with a twinkle in those beautiful blue eyes.
Lifelong lover of music, Harry James Wiseman, age 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on April 30, 2018 after a long and happy life. He leaves his beloved wife and best friend of over 64 years, Ruth and children; Lynn (Michael), Ann (Bruce), Bruce-deceased 2017 (Janet) and Dyann (John); grandchildren – Ashley, Matthew, Emily, Nicholas, Alexandra, Zachary, Courtney, Alyssa, Lynsey, Connor, Joseph and great-grandchildren – Jason, Eve and Harrison.
A talented musician, Harry played with many groups throughout his life including trombone with the Central Band of Canada followed by a successful career with Telesat until his retirement. He will forever be remembered for his quick wit and impeccable timing in delivering a punch line and his spaghetti and chili making skills. A patient, kind, charming and loving soul who will be missed every single day. He is forever and ever in our hearts.
A special thank you to Ottawa Hospital General Campus for their support during his final hours. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff at Dublin, Donegal and Kerry Houses, St. Patrick’s Home, for their loving care of our dad in the last few years of his life.
