It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Harriet Elizabeth Lillington (nee Osmond) announces her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL on Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at the age of 73 years. Born in Port aux Basques, NL. Harriet was the daughter of the late Clifford and Rebecca Osmond (nee Short). She was also predeceased by her father and mother-in-law Sammuel and Martha Lillington (nee Dicks); son Paul Lillington; sisters-in-law Winnetta (John) Lilly, Margaret (Peter) Petrovich, Helen (Clarence) Newhook, Alma (Jack) Lillington, Fanny (Keltic) Farrell, Florence (Gordon) McNeil, Mardee Osmond, Donalda Osmond, Margaret Drake and brother-in-law Leslie Currie.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving husband of 56 years Morgan Lillington; sons Clifford (Arlene) Lillington of Margaree, NL, Jason (Wanda Lee) Lillington of Eastern Passage, NS; grandchildren Colby Lillington (Courtney Musseau) of Corner Brook, NL, Chad Lillington (Amy Croucher) of Margaree, NL, Jake Lillington, Jordon Lillington both of Eastern Passage, NS; sisters Carrie Currie, Rose (Albert) White both of Port aux Basques, NL, Nina (Bud) Davis of Fort McMurray, AB; brothers David Osmond, Terry (Barbara) Osmond, Norman Osmond, Eric Osmond (Selina Rumbolt), Garnet Osmond (Nora Osmond), and William (Marilyn) Osmond all of Port aux Basques, NL plus a large circle of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 30th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and on Monday, October 1st, 2018 from 2-4 at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. (Downtown Location) in Channel-Port aux Basques, NL. In keeping with Harriet’s wishes, cremation will follow and a memorial service will be held at St. James Anglican Church on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 at 2 pm officiated by The Rev. Eddie Coleman with interment of ashes to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harriet’s memory can be made to the family.
