JOSEPHS, Gus (Augusta) June 20, 1935 – April 7, 2018
It is with heavy hearts full of love and gratitude that the family announces the passing of Gus after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at home with his family. Beloved husband of Stelma for 55 years. Loving father of Paul (Sharon) Josephs, Melloney Josephs and Karen Nicole Nelson. Cherished Grandpa of Carter, Nathan and Faith. Gus will be fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends across North America, the U.K, the Caribbean and Nigeria. He will be especially missed by his cousins Toyin (Layi), Kofo, Jibola (Yemesi)Tenne, Bade, and Tokunbo, Joshua, Josiah and Joseph. Gus was an active member of Oakville community for 45 years as owner of Jesco Electric, involvement with the Oakville Soccer Club, the Trafalgar Rotary Club, Toastmasters, the Black Business and Professional Association and many other community organizations. Visitation at WARD FUNERAL HOME, 109 Reynolds Street OAKVILLE, 905-844-3221 on Friday, April 13 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Jude’s Anglican Church, 160 Williams Street, Oakville on Saturday, April 14 at 11 a.m. Internment at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery 1149 Dundas Street West. The family extends an open invitation for a time of fellowship following the internment at Saint Volodymyr Cultural Centre, 1280 Dundas Street West, Oakville. In lieu of flowers, donations to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Gone from sight but never from our memory.
