GREENOUGH, Penny
December 18, 19** – January 3, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Penny Greenough, of Spruce Grove. She will be lovingly remembered as a strong and independent spirit, who taught us the importance of “mad money” and that a lady should never state her age. She was always ready to take on the world once she put on her lipstick, she loved aimless drives around the city, and has loved her daily games of Scrabble with her “lover boy,” playing over 1800 games since his retirement.
Penny was born to parents Leo and Alice Aslin, and she grew up in Jasper Place amongst three siblings, Rick, Ron, and Rita, all of whom predeceased Penny.
She is survived by her loving husband Graham, her daughter Melissa Jenkins (Terry), her son Tim Greenough, as well as her granddaughter Julianna Kulak (Michael, Emmett and baby to be)
A celebration of her life will be held on January 12, 2018 at 2:00pm, at New Life Community Church, 5009 51 Ave, Stony Plain, AB
The family would like to extend our gratitude to the nurses and Dr.’s at the Misericordia Hospital as well as the Cross Cancer Institute.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
